Metaxakis Winery

Metaxakis wine factory is located very close to Perama about 1 kms between the villages Orthes and Margarites.
It is the brainchild of Yiannis Metaxakis who established in 2019 motivated by his love for vinifacation and his experience of Farming the family’s vineyards. Margarites gorge and the stream Margaritianos create a unique landscape and an ideal microclimate (terroir) suitable both for the establishment and the planting of new vineyards .
We established a modern winery with love and respect to the cretan tradition and our natural environment as well and we are ready to welcome whoever want to travel into the fascinating world of wine.

The vineyards of Metaxakis family are of small dimensions and are dispersed in the wider area on sloping ground overlooking Mt Psiloritis. The area is rich in sweet smelling herbs and in combination with our organic viniculture they lead us to produce a fine wine Our skilled personnel and the state of the art equipment as well as the certification according to the standards ISO 22000 create the prerequisites for the production of high – quality wine.

Since 2019 we have been receiving quests on a daily basis. They are shown.
The plant and introduced into the magical world of wine and enology by tasting an assortment of our wines. Our primary goal has always been the production of high – quality wines with observance of our tradition and incorporating, the techniques of bio – cultured vineyards.
