Istro beach

From Agios Nikolaos to Mohlos, there are five to six beaches with azure seas along the coastal road south of Agios Nikolaos. Istros, 12 kilometers south of Agios Nikolaos town on the way to Ierapetra, is one of them. Two of the key elements that have made this beach so popular are the crystal clear blue seas and the white sand.

It is bordered by lush green hills and dense foliage, producing a magnificent panorama and a stunning color contrast in nature’s artwork. There are a variety of amenities available, including sundecks and umbrellas, as well as food and beverage kantines. There are also several taverns that specialize in Cretan cuisine and fresh fish for visitors.
