Enetiko beach

The port of Enetiko is located in the northeastern section of Rethymno. The antique lighthouse marks the beginning of a long, sandy beach and marks the end of the port.

This sandy beach stretches for many kilometers to the east, where most locals and visitors enjoy swimming and staying in the different hotels available. The fortification and the city center are both within walking distance of the area around Rethymnon Town.

This isn’t the nicest beach in Rethymnon for swimming, but it’s a decent option if you’re just in town for a few hours. There are no water sports available, although there are a few pubs along the beach.
