We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sansal Boutique Hotel in Chania, Crete, and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that lasted throughout our entire stay.
The hotel itself is a beautiful example of traditional Cretan architecture, with a charming courtyard and a beautiful stone facade. The lobby area is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating options and beautiful art and decor that perfectly captures the spirit of the island. We were particularly impressed with the hotel’s outdoor pool area, which offered stunning views of the sea and the surrounding landscape, and was a great spot to relax and soak up the sun.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large king-sized bed, a beautifully appointed bathroom, and a private balcony that offered views of the sea or the hotel’s gardens. We appreciated the little touches, like the complimentary bottle of water and the daily housekeeping service that kept our room spotless throughout our stay.
One of the highlights of our stay at The Sansal was the exceptional service. From the front desk staff to the restaurant servers to the housekeeping staff, every member of the staff was friendly, helpful, and eager to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We felt like we were truly being taken care of throughout our entire stay.
The food at the hotel’s restaurant was also fantastic. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and we were impressed by the quality and variety of the dishes. The menu offered a great selection of traditional Cretan specialties as well as international cuisine, and the presentation of each dish was truly beautiful. We also appreciated the fact that the restaurant had an extensive wine list, with a great selection of local and international wines to choose from.
The hotel’s outdoor pool area was another highlight of our stay. The pool itself was large and pristine, with plenty of comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas for guests to use. We loved spending our afternoons lounging by the pool, enjoying the beautiful views and sipping on cocktails from the poolside bar. The hotel also had a small fitness center, which allowed us to keep up with our exercise routine even while on vacation.
Another thing that really impressed us about The Sansal was the location. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area of Chania, but it is still within easy driving distance of some of the island’s most beautiful beaches and historic sites, which made it easy for us to explore all that Crete has to offer.
Overall, we would highly recommend The Sansal Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming stay in Chania, Crete. From the traditional architecture and luxurious accommodations to the exceptional service and fantastic amenities, every aspect of our stay was absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to go back and stay there again!
