My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kalithea Apartments in Lasithi, Crete. We were looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay that was close to the beach and had plenty of local amenities. After researching several options, we settled on the Kalithea Apartments, and we were not disappointed.
Location:
The location of the Kalithea Apartments is excellent. It’s situated in the heart of the charming village of Elounda, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby, which made our stay very convenient. We particularly enjoyed strolling along the promenade in the evenings, taking in the sights and sounds of the village.
Accommodation:
The accommodation at the Kalithea Apartments was comfortable and clean. We opted for a one-bedroom apartment, which had plenty of space for the two of us. The apartment was well-maintained and had all the amenities we needed, including a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a balcony with a view of the sea. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well every night.
Facilities:
The facilities at the Kalithea Apartments were good. There was a small pool on-site, which was perfect for a quick dip to cool off in the afternoon. There was also a small gym, which we made use of a few times during our stay. The gym was basic but had all the equipment we needed for a decent workout.
Service:
The service at the Kalithea Apartments was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were happy to provide recommendations for local restaurants and activities, and they were always available to answer any questions we had.
Activities:
There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area surrounding the Kalithea Apartments. We went on a boat trip to the nearby island of Spinalonga, which was fascinating. The island has a rich history, and we enjoyed exploring the old fortress and learning about its past. We also went on a guided hike through the nearby hills, which was a great way to get some exercise and take in the beautiful scenery.
Overall:
Our stay at the Kalithea Apartments was very enjoyable. The location, accommodation, facilities, service, and activities were all good, and we felt that we got excellent value for money.
