Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor

We had the pleasure of staying at The Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor in Chania, Crete, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful grounds and stunning architecture of the property, and we knew that we were in for a truly special stay.

The hotel’s historic monastery building has been beautifully restored and transformed into a luxurious boutique hotel, with modern amenities and elegant furnishings that perfectly complement the traditional Venetian architecture. We were amazed by the attention to detail throughout the property, from the beautiful stonework and arches to the carefully curated artwork and decor.

Our room was spacious and luxurious, with a comfortable king-sized bed, a beautifully appointed bathroom, and a private balcony that offered stunning views of the Venetian harbor and the surrounding hills. We appreciated the little touches, like the complimentary bottle of wine and the daily housekeeping service that kept our room spotless throughout our stay.

One of the highlights of our stay at The Monastery Estate was the exceptional service. From the front desk staff to the restaurant servers to the housekeeping staff, every member of the team was friendly, helpful, and eager to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We felt truly pampered and taken care of throughout our entire stay.

The hotel’s restaurant offered some of the most delicious and inventive cuisine we’ve ever had. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and we were consistently impressed by the quality and creativity of the dishes. The menu offered a great selection of traditional Cretan specialties as well as international cuisine, and each dish was beautifully presented and expertly prepared. We also appreciated the fact that the restaurant had an extensive wine list, with a great selection of local and international wines to choose from.

The hotel’s location was another highlight of our stay. The Monastery Estate is situated in the heart of Chania’s historic Venetian harbor, with easy access to some of the city’s most popular attractions, including the lighthouse, the Maritime Museum, and the Archaeological Museum. We loved being able to stroll through the charming streets and alleyways of the Old Town, exploring the many shops, cafes, and restaurants that the area has to offer.

The hotel’s amenities were also top-notch. We loved spending our afternoons lounging by the beautiful outdoor pool, which offered stunning views of the harbor and the surrounding hills. The pool area also had a hot tub, which was a great spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel also had a fitness center and a spa, which we unfortunately didn’t have the chance to try out, but they looked impressive nonetheless.

From the stunning architecture and luxurious accommodations to the exceptional service and fantastic amenities, every aspect of our stay was absolutely perfect.
